Global Silicones Inc. is a full service compounding firm specializing in custom compounding and color matching of industrial grade silicones.

GLOBAL'S BEGINNING

Founded in 1992 by Phil Galarneau (one of the original founders of Western Silicones Inc. in 1981 and Applied Silicone Corporation in 1987) and Alastair Winn (co-founder of Applied Silicone Corporation), Global set out to address a critical need in the industrial and specialty silicone industry.  That need was for a quick turnaround time for specification compounded and color matched materials. 

Through experience, research and in depth communication with customers and prospective customers alike, Global concentrated its efforts on addressing this need.  In doing so, Global made its mark in the industry and continues to do so today.  All employees are part of an ISO 9001 based continual training and education process that allows and promotes cutting edge improvements to Global’s operation.  With involvement in organizations such as The Los Angeles Rubber Group, Inc. (TLARGI), ASTM and the American Chemical Society, Global keeps its awareness of the pulse of the industry.

QUALITY CONTROL AND TESTING:

Global Silicones Inc. believes that merely producing a material for shipment is not enough, there must be quality inspection and testing of the material produced.  An ISO 9001 certified test laboratory inspects not only Global's finished products, but the materials used to produce those products as well.  We believe that if we start with quality materials, we minimize losses due to product failure.  This in turn keeps costs down, allowing us to pass the savings to our customers.  At Global Silicones Inc. We promote our Quality Improvement Process (QuIP) in a constant effort to increase our customer satisfaction and loyalty.
